I almost have the driver finished to work with SparkLan cameras in OCTV, and I’m surprised by the difference in quality compared to Axis cameras.
For example, I noticed that the field of view of Axis cameras is larger than SparkLan’s; with an Axis you can see at least 30% more.
The colors on Axis cameras are more vivid than on SparkLan; the difference is very noticeable—everything is grayer on the latter cameras.
Finally, it’s important to highlight the differences in response. With SparkLan cameras, you can notice that sometimes the image becomes “stuck” or shows areas that couldn’t be processed. In the Axis world, this doesn’t happen—the quality is excellent.
It’s worth mentioning that an Axis camera costs approximately $570, while a SparkLan costs $250.
